Working with two course leaders, the workshop will focus on the language needed in situations of conflict.
Working in small-group sub-committees, participants will developed and practise the language of opinion, complaint, protest, disagreement, and compromise, as well as focusing on question techniques. The day will culminate in a full-group meeting of two opposing teams designed to test patience, politeness, strategic and linguistic skills. By the end of the day you can expect to have extended your vocabulary for use in tough meetings, and to have practised their use against strangers in a number of simulated, real-life situations.
