Designed as an integrative module, students will apply strategic, financial, and organizational thinking to understand Mergers & Acquisitions. We will examine the strategic rationale of M&As, the financial tools necessary for valuation, and the organizational challenges in acquisition integration. Major topics include principles of corporate strategy, corporate strategies and cross-border alliances to promote company and country growth, partnering versus acquiring, the rationale for M&A, valuation of acquisition targets, due diligence, merger integration, and managing organizational integration.
